Volunteering

If you have some spare time we would love to welcome you to the Festival as a volunteer.  There are many different roles available during the Festival or you may have other skills you feel may benefit the Festival.

Volunteer Roles:

Steward: Our Stewards are the face of the Festival as they welcome the audience to each event and answer any queries they may have.  You may also be asked to welcome choirs and direct them to their holding room or help take performers to the office to collect certificates or cups.

Information Desk:  The information desk is often the first point of contact for visitors and it is also where they can buy programmes, become a Friend of the Festival and volunteers sign in.  It’s a busy role and great if you like helping people.

Adjudicators Stewards: Our professional adjudicators need support from our volunteers so that they can do their job. This is usual a role that is taken on after someone has been a general Steward for at least one year.

Announcer: Each event needs an announcer to call the performers to the stage as well as provide information announcements and ensure our sponsors are credited.  If you are happy being in front of the audience then this could be for you.

If you think you may be interested in any of these roles or if you have any specific skills such as marketing or fundraising please contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator Frances Watson via email, info@cfpa.org.uk
